December Update

Dear Friends,

Merry Christmas! As we are all in the midst of the hustle and bustle, I wanted to give you a quick update on what’s happening in Uganda.

1. Thank you so much for praying for the funds to purchase our new property adjacent to Victory House. That purchase has now been finalized! Praise God! He is so faithful & we are so grateful. We don’t yet know how He wants us to best utilize that land, but He does. Pray that we will listen and be attentive to the leading of the Spirit, and faithful to His purposes. I have no doubt this property is significant in the future work of V127.

2. Thank you so very much for your contributions to our Christmas project! Our team in Uganda is hard at work buying gifts, preparing for the community celebration and meal, and also the outreach to those who would have no food for Christmas dinner. The numbers are pretty staggering. They are buying gifts for all of our 120 children; last year they fed almost 1000 people at the celebration meal, and provided food for over 400 hungry families on Christmas Eve. I just received this picture of gifts they have already purchased for the children.

You can see backpacks, shoes, underclothes, bed sheets, & blankets just for starters. It’s a huge project and you are the ones who have made it possible! The big celebration is Dec 16-17. Thank you for praying for our team as they prepare!

3. We have just completed a video highlighting our construction projects, and focusing especially on Victory Primary School. You can see it on the homepage of victory127.comPlease share it with family and friends who may be interested in helping us build our school. This is a big project, but we have seen time and time again that when we pray, God answers. Pray for His provision and for wisdom in every decision that is made. We saw first hand that our team in Uganda is doing a great job and your offerings are being multiplied! Whatever comes into our construction fund each month is sent and used for the most immediate need. We would love to have this first phase completed for the beginning of the new school year in Feb 2019.

4. Finally, I do have some artwork, notecards, and sandals made by our Babra Naluwoza that would make great Christmas gifts! Please let me know if you are interested. This is a great way to not only spread the word about our ministry, but also to support Babra and our higher education fund.

As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, may we remember that it is because of His great love for us that He was born in a barn, walked the earth as a man, and ultimately sacrificed His life so that we may live forever with Him. The best way for us to show our love for him is to be obedient to his commands and love others the way that He loves us.

“This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love each other, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us.” I John 4:10-12

Don’t forget to pray for your child today!

Merry Christmas!

Much Love,

***There is also a new video on the homepage of of our children singing a song they wrote about V127 and performed for us while we were in Uganda. They are so talented!
